Bringing Hard Hats with Heart to our Jobsite
Last Thursday, August 27th, Legacy Construction and the American Heart Association came together to prioritize what matters most: the health and well-being of our workforce. At our UHC Clovis & Dakota location, we hosted a free Blood Pressure Screening as part of our Hard Hats with Heart initiative, and the turnout was inspiring.
Why Blood Pressure Screening Matters
High blood pressure is often called the silent killer. It affects millions of Americans, yet many don't know they have it. Early detection and awareness are critical first steps toward prevention and management. By offering free screenings on-site, we're empowering our teams to take control of their health with the same dedication they bring to their work.
During the screening, participants received their blood pressure readings and gained valuable insights from American Heart Association and United Health Centers representatives about heart health, lifestyle changes, and preventive measures. Knowledge is power, and we're committed to giving our construction workforce the information they need to make informed decisions about their well-being.
Looking Forward
Hard Hats with Heart is a commitment to building a workplace culture where health, safety, and wellness are woven into everything we do. If you'd like to bring Hard Hats with Heart to your jobsite or learn more about wellness initiatives for your team, we'd love to hear from you. Sign up to join our team, here, on October 10 at Tesoro Viejo for the American Heart Association 2026 Central Valley Heart & Stroke Walk.
