The Superintendent is responsible for providing coordination and supervision to Assistant Superintendents and subcontractors, with focus on planning and implementation to ensure all materials, equipment, and inspections support the project schedule.


  • Review construction documents for completeness and constructability.

  • Review and understand contract documents.

  • Develop a site logistics plan.

  • Participate in the development and management of the project schedule to include four-week look-ahead schedules.

  • Conduct inspector meetings and have a complete understanding of the project to be able to answer questions.

  • Review monthly project billings and give input on the percentage complete and progression of the project.

  • Coordinate plans and specifications with design engineers, resoling discrepancies where required.

  • Report pertinent and requested information to the Project Managers and subcontractors.

  • Compile daily reports and progress photos of the project.

  • Implement problem-solving skills and create alternatives.

  • Coordinate with all trades to ensure a consistent and productive workflow.

  • Provide high-level management of safety, quality, risk, and compliance for the project.

  • Conduct on-site project orientations.

  • Recognize and mitigate unfavorable working conditions.

  • Mentoring of Assistant Superintendents.

  • Other duties as assigned.



  • Possess a basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices.

  • Expert at safe operation of power and hand tools.

  • Good communication skills.

  • Ability to fulfill all responsibilities for complex projects.

  • Knowledge of federal and state regulatory codes.

  • Skilled in reading plans for all trades.

  • Good time management and ability to stay on task.

  • Understanding of multiple trades of construction.

  • Ability to navigate Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Dropbox.

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the construction field required.

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Superintendent, or leadership equivalent, role



  • Ability to physically drive a vehicle.

  • Ability to move easily and quickly on a jobsite.

  • Ability to work outside in different weather conditions.

  • May require performing general physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs, and moving the whole body such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.

  • Capable of lifting up to 75 lbs., 1-2 times daily.

  • May require handling and moving objects by using hands and arms in the handling, installing, positioning, and moving of materials and manipulating objects.




This is an on-site supervision position. Daily hours may vary with project schedules however typical hours will be Monday through Friday from 6AM to 3PM with routine travel to and from jobsites and some material purchasing and delivery.
