Project Manager

A Project Manager is responsible for a wide variety of duties related to the complete process of multiple projects at once. Providing administrative functions on all phases from development through closeout. The Project Manager position is a lead role and reports direct to the Senior Project Manager, President, and Vice President. They will work on both negotiated and bid projects within our core markets of Healthcare, Commercial and Industrial projects within the Central Valley.

Ideal candidates will have 8-10 years’ construction experience.  Candidates should be detail oriented and must demonstrate a willingness to learn new technologies, skills, and procedures.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Leading the project implementation team and directing Superintendents

  • Assessing the work of sub contractors periodically at job sites

  • Inspect and review projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes and other regulations

  • Attend planning and budgeting meetings to meet deadlines

  • Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers and sub-contractors

  • Confer with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors and design professionals to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints, and construction problems.

  • Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to administrative staff, workers and clients, representing the owner or developer

  • Assist with project estimating and budget creation

  • Implement problem solving skills and create alternatives

SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED ARE:

  • Excellent communication skills/trustworthy

  • Plan reading skills

  • Federal and state regulatory codes

  • Architectural plan review and analysis

  • Good time management and ability to stay on task

  • Understands vendor markup/ owner billings

  • Understand and build schedules with Microsoft Project

  • Ability to generate contracts and scope of work

  • Knowledge of OSHA construction site safety regulations

  • Coordination and delegation skills

  • Organized and proficient in digital documentation, Word, Excel and Outlook

  • Experience in Dropbox, Microsoft Project and Jonas (Preferred)
