Project Manager

Fast-growing innovative general contractor looking for an experienced Project Manager to manage projects within our core markets of health care, commercial, and industrial projects within the Central Valley. The Project Manager is responsible for providing overall leadership and direction to a project including the management of project quality, timeliness, safety, and mentorship to the project team.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Review construction documents for completeness and constructability.

  • Identify cost codes, approve invoices, and make necessary budget management decisions.

  • Maintain schedule and budget through project completion.

  • Provide financials and billings to Accounting for timely payment.

  • Maintain budget for and make selections of trade partners and suppliers.

  • Handle contract management, including contract buyouts.

  • Determine when to submit change orders to the client or on-site representative, obtain client approval, and execute.

  • Provide a high level of management of safety, quality, risk, and compliance for the project.

  • Be the main point of contact with the client and on-site representatives.

  • Provide ongoing feedback to subordinates on work performance.

  • Provide frequent interactions with clients to build positive relationships and future work opportunities.

  • Other duties as assigned.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED ARE:

  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil or Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience required.

  • Minimum 5 years experience in the construction field required.

  • Minimum 3 years experience in a Superintendent or equivalent leadership role required.

  • Possess a basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices.

  • Sufficiently detail-oriented to organize and lead multiple project tasks.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to fulfill all responsibilities of complex projects.

  • Knowledge of federal and state regulatory codes.

  • Plan reading skills for all trades.

  • Good time management and ability to stay on task.

  • Thorough understanding of all trades in construction.

  • Positive and professional attitude.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Dropbox.
