Last week, the Legacy team headed north to Sacramento for the California Primary Care Association’s Annual Conference! We spent time with health center leaders and industry partners, catching up on the issues shaping community healthcare across California.
Concerns around H.R. 1 and what Medicaid cuts could mean for federally qualified health centers were a major focus. The conference also brought a strong push to vote no on Proposition 44, which voters have since rejected with approximately 82% voting no.
There was also plenty of discussion about how AI and technology can help health centers improve operations and support their teams. As a development and construction partner, hearing these conversations firsthand helps us better understand the pressures our healthcare partners face and what they’re considering as they plan for the future.
We also made time to connect outside the conference, hosting a happy hour with guests from Camarena Health, Lumira, Altura, and more. It was a great evening catching up with current partners, meeting other healthcare CEOs, and getting to know the people behind the work.
Thank you to everyone who connected with us in Sacramento. Until next year, CPCA!
